Tech Training - Subaru Radiator Cap

Thank you for your purchase of a Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator for your Subaru. Depending on the production date, your radiator may arrive with either one or two caps.

  • If your radiator includes one cap: The supplied Mishimoto radiator cap should replace the stock cap on the expansion tank. The OEM radiator cap should remain on the Mishimoto radiator. Please note that the Mishimoto cap is designed as a two-way valve, while the OEM radiator cap functions as a single-valve system. Installing the Mishimoto cap directly on the radiator may result in overheating.

  • If your radiator includes two caps: The two-way cap should be installed on the expansion tank, while the single-way cap should be installed on the radiator.
